While doing my BA, two years ago, I also began writing a science fiction novel, 'Perceptions of Normal' which is about an alien planet that is inhabited by genderless aliens who can survive on land, air and water. I will be creating an animated 'fly'through of a floating, amethyst encrusted island, as well as creating concept sketches of my creatures and the landscape. I see this project as a way to further explore my concept, as well as a reason to teach myself to use the 3D building program Maya. Once I am passed my deadline for the Mental Room project I will look into downloading Maya.
