Me, a tiny studio, a cat and a cactus

Illustration as an artist is very important to me, since I have a big imagination and a passion for storytelling and enjoy developing different ways to enable people to visualise my stories.

I often dream of working on illustrations in a tiny studio, somewhere in Oxfordshire, with a cup of tea, a cat on my lap and maybe a thriving cactus or two on the window sill.

Here are three of my favourite Illustrators, they are from different eras and have very different styles, but their illustrations are beautifully detailed, magical creations:

However, illustration as an applied art form in the Art Industry can open up other opportunities within media and visual communications. I will look at a couple in my next blog.
